Dear Friends,
I want to welcome you to the Jon Johnson Assist One Foundation. Picking up where my late husband left off after his untimely death has been a labor of love and healing for me. After his death, I couldn’t stop thinking about him saying “honey, this is going to be a great year, those words rang in my ears, and played over and over like a broken record. After losing him so tragically, I couldn’t understand how 2006 could have possibly been my year. Because of my strong faith, I knew God would never leave nor for sake me but the reality was “Jon was snatched away and I was a widow.”
Suddenly I was on a new path, confused, not knowing which direction to go, yet trying desperately to piece my life back together. Then, two earthbound angels (my mother and neighbor Bryan Peppers) shed light on the best way to honor my late husband. It was to keep his vision, his non-profit organization ALIVE.
Five years later, it is now crystal clear that Jon was taken for a reason and I was spared for a purpose. That purpose is to ensure that Jon lives on through JJAOF striving to ensure that every child has a loving home with loving parents. Could there be a better purpose then our children? Catch the vision. It’s All ‘About Kids.’
